About

Black and white self-portrait of Gabriela Gioia in a striped turtleneck pulled over her mouth, holding a round mirror reflecting clouds, from the series Notes & Lines

I am an Argentine filmmaker, visual artist, photographer and film critic based in Berlin.

I studied filmmaking with a focus on documentary at IDAC, art direction at ECA and audiovisual production at ISEC, and took the audiovisual criticism workshop at ISER-ENERC.

My work moves between images and words: I make films and photographs, curate queer and feminist cinema, and write about bisexual visibility on screen.
