1st festival of schools of film with a gender perspective

In my final year at IDAC (Avellaneda, Buenos Aires), following the creation of the Gender Commission, we organized a festival to showcase films by students from Argentine film schools with a gender perspective. With a feminist and queer focus, our goal was to highlight the first short films addressing these themes.

The festival received over 60 short films from across Argentina, setting a precedent for future initiatives. Notable IDAC alumni, including renowned documentary filmmakers Virna Molina and Ernesto Ardito, and Argentine film producer Lita Stantic, attended.

This project not only provided a platform for new voices in film but also strengthened the student community and emphasized the importance of gender perspectives in the industry.
